XpUp 2024
Hello all, we are very happy to announce that we’ll be hosting a 4th edition of XpUp, a fun Ultimate Frisbee tournament meant to gain and pass around experience, and let players of all levels play together.
It takes place the third weekend of August, in Kortrijk.
We are really looking forward welcoming you here and enjoying a weekend full of Ultimate Frisbee.
Subscriptions are open.
Concept
Why the name XpUp?
We wanted to create a tournament where you can play alongside anyone of your team. Man or woman, rookie or ultimate veteran. We invite you all. And we’ll divide each player into a category of experience, from here on out referred to as “Level”. Each player will receive a gadget showing your level, so everyone will be able to see which level you are.
XpUp is an open outdoor 5vs5, with a max level of 15 combined on the pitch. With this format we hope to give the opportunity to let players with little experience play together with more experienced players of your club. We won’t exclude a single soul and hope to get as much female as male players, though it will be an open tournament.
At the end of the tournament we will finish with a MIP game. The teams who were here last year enjoyed that very much, but the concept will be a little different again this year! At XpUp it’s all about sharing Ultimate knowledge and having loads of fun!
Levels
The levels are based on years of experience, capped to 5 years. At any given time during the game, a team can only have a maximum of 15 years of experience on the field.
Team format on Saturday
On Saturday we play in a team format. You subscribe as a team and compete all day against other teams.
Of course still taking into account the maximum level of experience on the pitch.
Hat format on Sunday
On Sunday we play in a hat format. We divide all individual players in different teams, taken into account their experience. A perfect opportunity for less experienced players to get familiar with this format.
